Being the wife of the Sanctist spokeperson, Meltis is careful not to draw the ire of the church with her research. I imagine after the Mage Academy massacre, Meltis found work under Brigitta, probably as part of the research team instead of one of the igniter engineers.

Which brings me to Batlin. Of course, Meltis called him Albus at home (maybe Albus Procnias when she's upset).

I imagine she's not coming with him during the course of the game where Batlin basically jumped gauntlet runners to report on the tournament, so they probably only reunite when it's over.

Also, I noticed that a lot of Metaphor names 1) consisted of three words, and 2) were derived from scientific names of animals, particularly birds. So I followed this naming convention by naming her Meltischia Nyroca mon Ferrina.

(Nyroca ferina is pochard duck)

Decided to follow the stereotypes and made her ishkia, which works to my favor because I fucking dig wings.

I don't actually know if it's common for ishkias to have two pair of wings (Neuras and Rella) or if it's just pureblooded, noble ones who have more than a pair. I decided a pair is enough.

She's a scholar focusing on pure theoretical research of magla (think quantum mechanics, Standard Model of magla particles... Basically applying math to magla physics).

I think she'd be one of the Mage Academy scholars that were saved at last mins by Rella and teleported to Grand Trad/Altabury.
