Was reading Tower Dungeon (2023) and thought they drew a ton of inspo from Nihei. Turns out it is Nihei, megastructures and all. Absolutely blast to read Nihei doing some banger fantasy work, and the story, world building, character designs, and art have all been amazing.

Highly recommend.

Anyone looking for a fun, easy series, I highly recommend Sachi's Book of Revelation. It follows a 6 year old who is being judged by a demon and angel to decide if humanity should be destroyed. Good times. You can read it for free (and support the author) on Manga Plus' app.

Per my last email on #Manga sizes and hardbacks, pics of JoJo part 7 that are both small and very portable (but also in Japanese). This is the entirety of it and it's about the size of 7.5 volumes of the #JoJo collectors editions. This is a 16 volume set and SBR was 24 volumes in its initial print.

Great new series that is very strange, Bug Ego by ONE (yes that one) and Kiyoto Shitara. Basic premise is what if life hacks really hacked life? And it is bizarre, a bit terrifying, and gut busting all in the same breath. Here are a few panels from chapter 1.

Something good and quick, Animal Rap by Ishida Sui (of Tokyo Ghoul and Choujin X fame). Just two "chapters" and it's absolutely a shit post, but jeez is it funny. Hopefully with Choujin X wrapping up we'll get more stuff like Animal Rap and This Gorilla Will Die in 1 Day (another banger btw). #manga

Another ass blaster of a series I can recommend, The One Within the Villainess, written by Makiburo (novel) and drawn by Shiraume Nazuna. Absolute best "I'm the Villainess in an otome game isekai" I've seen, the art is insane and the story is just as good. Image is one of many amazing panels. #manga

From the new chapter of Hirayasumi, great slice of life series with a real heart to it. Meddling old people drive the plot and it's great. Read it for something kinda cozy kinda bittersweet. Created by Shinzou Keigo, and it came back from hiatus this year so yeah, give it a peep. #manga

Sabu absolutely crushed it this week, as per usual. What a #GodSabu. So happy a #RedCatRamen chapter was totally dedicated to Sabu and they didn't mention anyone else at all this week.
