cooking up a little sculpt in nomad and decided to do a drawover for the hair and accessories in procreate to help plan my next steps! Not sure when/if I’ll have a chance to finish her but I’m enjoying the process 💖 also did I mention I luv evil women LMAO #3d #ipad #nomadsculpt #procreate #artsky

Here are some shots of painting in Procreate for the iPad! I was traveling while working on these, so imagine me frantically painting on a plane lmao. For the pancakes I focused on the top pancake, since the bottom two you only see the edges! Work smart not hard hehe. Made me so hungry tho lol

In the spirit of transparency, here is an example of a prop from LarkArt Store that was beautiful to begin with but I made changes to in order to match a slightly different vibe/need. The originals were also meant for Unreal Engine, so I made some changes to bring the materials into Unity!

FOOOOOOD. In the interest of time, the food models were kitbashed from asset packs I was able to find, but they were reassembled and modified to match the diner and Miss Lala's preferences! I also retextured them to be more painterly- for example the pancake/waffles I painted on my ipad w procreate!

Here is the modular kit I created to built out the whole diner! I stitched together the counters and the walls right at the very end so that they would light a bit better without seams. The only modular asset using its own unique material is the booth seat since we see it so close up on stream

Another big time saver was this gradient texture that I found in an asset pack! I can't find the original pack at the moment to give credit but I used this to texture the picture frames all using the same material, as well as many of the smaller props. u just project uvs from view and squisshhhhhh

To speed up the texturing process, I made a very quick (and messy lol) hybrid trimsheet. All the counters, the stools, tables, trims on the walls, and even some of the props are pulling from this one material. I made sure to unwrap lightmap UVs separately so that they would light properly too!

some materials! made some quick tiles for the floor and for the kitchen areas in substance designer. i used a seamless painterly texture in the roughness map to add some subtle graphic brushstrokes to the reflections! made me think about a dirty floor being mopped but not quite cleaning everything
