This was an alternate poster idea we explored for Lorelei. I love movie posters that are artworks in their own right. As Martin Scorsese says, “The posters promise something. They really do. A special dream.”

I loved seeing The Coal Miner’s Daughter on the front of this year’s DGA card because the film was written by the late Tom Rickman, who was one of my teachers at AFI. Tom was sage and kind and his film is one of the great American working-class stories.
