Huh, I wonder if dragging Bernie up by the ear on stage to condemn Rogan had anything to do with Rogan eventually shifting towards the Republicans? Hmm... I guess we'll never know, a complete mystery.

I think you people have forgotten that to win elections you need to get more votes than the other guys. Rogan is a dipshit and has gone off the deep-end since. But I can't imagine anything dumber than doing a moral purity test on the most popular podcaster in the world and then refusing his support.

Are you serious? If you click on the image it gives you more images of that guy (whos face was photoshopped onto the feet), here: www.shutterstock.com/search/model.... I genuinely don't understand how you think this is AI, it's clearly Photoshop.
January 24, 2025 at 9:18 PM
...that's absolutely 100% positively a Photoshop job - not generative AI. "AI" isn't another word for "fake".

The asset that caught out the Onion was labelled AI on the stock image site, someone at the Onion messed up. You've said that the AI filters don't work on shutterstock, that's what I'm asking you to show evidence of.

I don't think this is true. Can you show proof?

Didn't know SD-BDs existed, that's really cool. So many anime from the 90s and 00s have bluray releases that are badly upscaled and look horrible, so I revert to the DVD versions, but they can have their own problems too

What is this from?

The strongest evidence of that is that they don't even use the *Ghostbusters theme* in the trailers for the new ones, because it's too goofy for the solemn reverent epicness they're going for.

Requesting it isn't fine in this scenario though. It's not even a remotely reasonable request.

Anti charlatan laws are good 👍

"The WGA reserves the right to assert that exploitation of writers’ material to train AI is prohibited by MBA or other law." Does this not cover that?

To be clear, when I say like-to-impression ratio, I mean - if a post has been seen by millions but only 10% of those viewers clicked like, and another post has been seen by 100 people but 30% of those viewers clicked like, then the latter would be ranked higher than the former.

On old Twitter, it felt like replies were sorted based on a like-to-impression ratio, e.g. if a reply was late-to-the-party, but quickly got a few likes because it was exceptionally good, it would be boosted up. Is something like that possible? It really levelled the playing field + rewarded merit.
