Thiel is just making those same accusations against people and concepts he doesn’t like. He doesn’t name anyone outright, but suggests people like Greta Thunberg and the concept of a world government (a popular antisemitic dogwhistle), both of which are challenges to his political ideals. 4/

This nonsense has continued with religious leaders condemning anyone who they disagree with as the antichrist. Along the way, the tripe (I mistyped “trope” there, but I’m leaving it), has combined with readings that misunderstand the book of Revelation to make them out to be a single person. 3/

Originally, the word Antichrist did not refer to a person, but to anyone perceived to be against Christianity.
