Thanks. I agree covering algebra 1 in the summer could be difficult. Admin thinks it could be an abbreviated algebra 1 class covering multiplying and factoring polynomials, quadratic functions, radicals, and rational functions. No linear aglebra because they're supposed to get that in 8th grade.

This would allow the rising freshmen to take geometry in 9th grade, alg 2 in 10th, precalc in 11th and calculus as seniors. The goal is to provide a path to calculus for students who don’t have access to algebra 1 in grade 8. Do any of you do anything similar? Any advice?
