An intuitive musician & composer from Vermont. Waking up. Making amends. No longer asleep in my own nightmare. 👸🏻🌙🌱 🎵💫🎵
I made an electronic music EP over winter solstice. Eight tracks, four days, pure flow state. I'd love for you to listen at the link below or on SoundCloud.
FLOW STATE [LIVE] – NEW ELECTRONIC MUSIC SERIES
After a year of creative silence following the release of "Where've You Been?", something shifted during winter solstice 2025 and the gates opened up. Over four days this past week, eight tracks emerged—minimal techno, ambient downtempo, driving arpeggiated grooves. All created and performed live in Logic Pro, no edits after performance, just flow state and filter work and a simple final mix for listenability.

After the Inheritance of Gilgamesh
A short reflection on the dissertation I couldn’t finish. Before I went a little mad and had to leave my PhD program, the dissertation I was writing was called "The Inheritance of Gilgamesh.” It was about the patriarchal systems of thought, perception, and control that originated in ancient Mesopotamia around 3100 BCE and have been serving as scaffolding for Western consciousness ever since.

The Two Maps
When I was sixteen, I sat cross-legged on my bedroom floor, meditating on the rune PERTHRO—the rune of mystery, the "dice cup" that holds fate. I was working through the concepts of Orlog and Hamingja, those Old Norse concepts of destiny and personal power, trying to understand what it meant that life sometimes feels fated and other times feels entirely within our control. I was asking a brazen question for a teenager, and I was given a simple answer: Life is a lot like orienteering. My vision that evening showed me something that helped me navigate those early awakening years: we carry (at least) two maps that mark the terrain of our life and show the pathways we are able to walk. There's the map(s) our ego creates—built from trauma, from other people's expectations, from survival strategies that once kept us safe. And buried underneath that overlay, there's the true topography of our soul, the actual landscape we're meant to walk that becomes visible through our peak experiences, patience, and love.

Reorganizing Everything: What Happens When You Can’t Go Back

Reorganizing Everything: What Happens When You Can’t Go Back
The structures I'd built my life around—the roles I performed, the identity I'd constructed, the ways I showed up in relationship—all of those were designed by and for someone I no longer was. Trying to keep them intact while also honoring what I'd learned created an impossible tension. Something had to give. What gave was almost everything.

Learning to Be Impacted: On Support during Spiritual Emergence
I've decided to more fully open up to offering spiritual and integration guidance, so I want to share reflections on the praxis of personal healing and spiritual integration alongside my other writing. These pieces draw from my own journey through dissociation, awakening, and the slow work of becoming whole. If you're navigating your own transformative process, I hope something here resonates.

A little bit about the co-op and me

The last time I tried to post here, I pulled it after a day or so. I was trying something new, and it wasn’t my style. First of all, it was a traveling post, which I should’ve avoided. Traveling isn’t as easy for me as it used to be, and it felt at first like I…

The last time I tried to post here, I pulled it after a day or so. I was trying something new, and it wasn’t my style. First of all, it was a traveling post, which I should’ve avoided. Traveling isn’t as easy for me as it used to be, and it felt at first like I was reconnecting with the world with that post, but really it was awkward for me. Secondly, because it didn’t resonate with me in the morning.

From Earl to Shazam: A Life in Cars, and the Roads Between

A story about rusted brakes, midnight Denny’s runs, and the poetry of old cars and the life we live with them. I wasn’t sure whether to share this, but I’m fond of the roads we’ve traveled. From Earl to Shazam… and beyond.

Hundreds of thousands of people showed up this past weekend to resist the machinations of a fascist regime-making autocrat, and it was profound on multiple levels, and an awe to bear witness to, even remotely. I believe that to resist something is to find a way...

The Last Tether

For a long time, I’ve been calling my departure from a life of forced labor “leaving the corporate world.” But I think that’s been a misshaping of the truth. What I’ve really been doing is pulling away from the part of me that longed for external approval and that felt compelled to follow someone else’s rules without questioning the impact of that on my soul.

I like being open about process, ideas, and progress, so I'd like to share a little bit of what I've been doing musically over the past few weeks while also gadding about in other ways (mental and not!).

I’ve been ruminating all day, and I think I’m just going to relegate today to a general checking in. How are all of you? It’s Tuesday, April 1st at about 7 p.m. It’s been over two years since I could handle even a small set of responsibilities. It feels good to be able to stand — albeit a little wobbily — after the stumbling.

One of the challenges of living with the kind of mental state I work with is remembering a complete flow of life. Waking up tomorrow holding on to what I’ve accomplished or learned from today is a conscious effort for me, just shy of tattooing (which I’ve seriously considered doing, Memento). I think it has something to do with the hypnosis as a child, or maybe just side effects from the PTSD, but either way, I’ve decided to devote some time on Sundays to check in with what I did and tried to do the previous week.

“The Lifted Weight” is the 7th track from my album and one of my favorites. It tries to set a tone of redemption and achievement, and is a song about the idea of choosing our own burdens rather than just what gets dropped on us by others. 🙏🏻💜🎶

I recorded this during my exit from a complete mental breakdown. Think post-Pink-Floyd Syd Barrett, but without having written a note for 30 years.

Please enjoy my soul trying to emerge through the rusty machinery that was me one year ago.🙏💜🎶

Hello friends! How are things? It’s been creatively slow the past few weeks, even though I have a project I’m planning out (more on that later, but a hint is that it involves finding a solid granite-surf sound for my guitar), and I am starting to get my new studio space together (despite the villain-esque angle of the photo, it’s a nice place to create, even if a little pod-like).

In college one time, I went to a Thanksgiving dinner as an uninvited guest. My friend brought me with him. The hosts searched awkwardly for a chair, plate, utensils. I was the mis-matched fifth plate at a four-person table of strangers. Starting a conversation on social media feels a lot like that.
