I paint the way I do because I find absolute joy in doing it. I wake up before the sun rises. I am filled with energy and joy. I feel a need to get to the easel, the brushes, and the oils. I draw stories in my mind, and add color and texture to them as I fall asleep. I dream of trees and mountains, foxes and hares, cows and sheep, companion dogs and indulging cats. Winding roads, unpaved paths, flowing streams and cozy dwellings show up in the landscapes of my mind.
