5) The animal sacrifice (udhiyah) on Eid is a form of subservience to God, and also a reminder of Prophet Abraham's subservience alongside his son (Ishmael).
As God Most High reminds us:
"It is not [the animals'] meat or blood that reaches God, but it is your piety that reaches Him." (22:37)
6) It is encouraged for the one intending the animal sacrifice on Eid (udhiyah) to abstain from cutting hair and nails from the start of the month, as a form of resembling the pilgrims and their sanctified state.
This is based on the hadith of Umm Salamah in Sahih Muslim (around which there is scholarly debate on both authenticity and interpretation).
According to majority of classical jurists, this is a recommendation and not obligatory.
(I would argue that this virtue of abstaining from cutting one's hair and nails extends to just before the Eid day, after which the general encouragement of cleanliness for Eid day applies.)

![The purpose of rewards you find in hadiths is not for you to become an accountant.
You're not meant to sit down calculating the reward you're receiving for each action. That's not the point.
If anything, any hadith that mentions reward should be read through the lens of God's grace, and that He loses absolutely nothing by gifting from His infinite treasures.
Have a good opinion of God.
God tells us, "Whoever comes with a good deed shall receive ten times the like of it." (An'am: 160)
Elsewhere, God says He multiples spending in His cause by seven hundred, and that "God multiples [even that] for whomever He wishes." (Baqarah: 261)
God is good, and "Your Lord is most gracious (al-Akram)" (96:3) as He tells us in the very first verses revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
