You changed my mind today. I've never been against them, but previously I've mostly noticed the awkward way they are delivered. I hadn't appreciated the opportunity to just learn. And I want to learn. A little cringe is a small price to pay for that.

Chatgpt and the like are AMAZING at some things. Breathtakingly. But also, GARBAGE at others. And some of the things that it is garbage at are things we see as infinitely easier than the things it is great at. How can an intermittent user possibly know the difference?

100% agree. AI making it easy for just about anyone might allow people to apply the appropriate amount of skepticism to what has already been going on.

To be a one issue voter in this moment is wild. Particularly if that’s your issue. I like my tech toys as much as or maybe even more than the next guy but this is not the moment.

I came to say this. The problem is that recipes online are a user hostile experience. So yeah, if the AI summary will tell me how many cups of flour I need directly, I'm definitely not going to choose to crawl through that field of ads to look at the original recipe.
