Photos (my own), Devon and London UK, a bit of surfing/swimming/cycling and a lot of nature. Mainly using Bluesky as a respite from politics but down with autocrats, fascists, war criminals, and their enablers. Save Palestine🇵🇸
These days, the kids give no fax.

So bumpy in places! I think the trade off is worth it for the empty paths and immersion, but boy was I feeling it.

Strong agree. Also, the “ready or not” needle drop in the hospital was an awesome choice.

Holy shit that’s bad. But I will forgive you as your publications better than your jokes. :)

Say it isn’t so! Many fond memories of Gardenias from decades ago.

Agree, outrageous. Also, why would you gilet when you could nehru! The former is arguably (just about 😉) cultural appropriation of the latter.

But it is of course your opinion, and you are entitled to it!

I say that as a casual viewer who felt like I was being made to think hard about the reality of what a civil war might involve if the sort of thing we are used to seeing on the evening news in other countries arrived closer to home (albeit my home is not the US)

There is narrative in the development of the journalists. And narrative in the development of what a civil war entails for its combatants and how it necessarily ends. I guess it depends on what you think is narrative. It is certainly not just premise and then just crash bang visual spectacle.

And there are multiple themes explored in parallel, eg we see the reality of war journalism dawning through the eyes of the young photographer.

The film is demonstrating that point through the medium of a road trip movie with the journalists. Unless, that is, you reject road trip movies. Eg motorcycle diaries
