Overnight the social media is filled with Studio Ghibli like art.

🔹What happens with the photos being deposited with ChatGPT, are they also not being used to train the LLM? What are the security and privacy implications?
🔹Isn't it infringement of Ghibli's art-tech IP?

I had the opportunity to tour Velocity, which has been helping founders with platforms and resources to kick start their innovation. They are making memories and a soul searching experience for founders at early, mid to advanced stages. Dateline: Waterloo Tech Innovation Ecosystem.

This week, I had the privilege of visiting and learning about Communitech, at Waterloo's tech innovation ecosystem as part of a delegation of Prosocial Tech Design Governance. Communitech's efforts to support founders of tech startups and uphold the principle of #TechforGood is inspiring.

The Balsillie Case Studies, which I am leading, is an exciting repository of cases that speak to the policy gaps and dilemmas around the governance of emerging technologies in various sectors. A great opportunity for field experts to be published and compensated. If you have ideas, I'm all ears.

Our struggle today is about having laws that hold both governments and private companies accountable for our data and privacy; resisting the exploitation of our data under the guise of convenience.

We don't want more people in jail for their posts on the internet. My latest observation on Bangladesh's draft Cyber Security Act.

Glad to see this. It's unnecessarily occupying an important handle. Not everyone can take over handles like Musk at their whims.

The link here contains Amnesty International's toolkit with plenty of contents (posts, petition, audio-visuals and more) that you can use to support people's right to freedom of expression online in Bangladesh 🇧🇩.

The Guardian would not put something as absurd as a pair of eyes on its banner. The two posts by this account have no news links. The bio is also inaccurate. The Guardian is not a subsidiary of the Observer.

I did a similar experiment with ChatGPT by asking about myself. What I found problematic is that its hallucination from the large language model leads it to even defend some of the misinformation and made-up hyperlinks it provided, at which point it becomes a construction of disinformation.
