Though his curiosity does lead him to seek out and learn techniques from everywhere he visits, dabbling in whatever martial skill is prevalent in the area. This ensures that no matter the circumstances and availability of weaponry, he's always prepared to protect others.

Growing his skills into being a Paladin, it has since become his equipment of choice, only further reinforced by his time in Ishgard.
