Instead of Part 14 coming next, I have outlined four short vignettes, which I will post together as "Interludes I", that will get Alain from the Nasthírion to Drakenhold without having to teleport him across Fevrith.

These interludes will only include returning characters, not new ones! :)

Anyway, I’ll keep you updated here as to the when and how, but my current priority is still Part 12 of 2CoF.
And as always, thank you for your patience :) 8/8

I know they aren't my most popular stories. They understandably got buried under the avalanche of Baldur’s Gate 3 fics that started around the same time I did. I would like to write some BG3 fics too, in all honesty—it’s such a good game. 7/8

I did consider ‘translating’ everything over to a different TTRPG system, such as Daggerheart or Pathfinder, but I don’t think that would be worth the effort and huge amount of retcons across the 7 existing fics. I’m kind of stuck with D&D, in that sense. 6/8

And I know that by making this change, I will also significantly diverge from canon and also place my fics in an even less desirable place for readers looking for D&D specifics than they already are. But I want to return to the characters I enjoy writing, and I feel like this is the only way. 5/8

However, if I do go back to D&D fic writing, I want to move away from the Forgotten Realms setting. I would like to transport my OCs into a custom campaign setting and I have an idea for how I want to do this massive shift, but I need to plan it out. 4/8

I really want to revisit some of the characters I’ve written fics for: I have another Lesolisia & Bardan fic idea, I still want to finish Part 3 of The Githyanki, I think Freyja and Varulfur can go further—plus several new so far unwritten ideas. 3/8

This is mostly because my opinion of Hasbro and WotC has changed significantly since I started writing fics for the fandom. I love D&D, but it’s hard to build up enthusiasm for it when the companies who own it are determined to burn all of the goodwill they’ve earned. 2/8
