Once the government is shuttered, what can Elon do with unfettered access inside every agency? Once the federal courts shut down, who will place guardrails? The courts are already lagging in response due to layoffs themselves. There are no good answers here.

Cons: unfettered access to every closed agency ghost town, staffed with a few essential employees. Federal courts will shut down while e we need them to be our guardrails. Can you imagine what they’d do in a couple of weeks?
