I love I Can Teach You To Be Rich. Automating my finances has been a game-changer. I used to spend about an hour each week managing my finances. Now, I do a quick check-in once a week (5-10 minutes, max) to ensure that my system is working properly and then move on with my day 👍

I have seen some car dealers post videos on social media where they walk around and ask their employees “What kind of car do you drive and what’s your monthly payment?” The monthly payments are outrageously high and it seems like an attempt by the dealer to normalize high car payments.

It is also perplexing that many of the headlines around this topic include the word “debate”. There are only a few things I can think of where the evidence is so overwhelmingly in favor of one thing over another. Remote work is one of them. I think we should be well past debate at this point.

Statistically, the number of college athletes that go on to play professionally is very small. However, the number of students that go on to have careers has to be close to 100%. I think there is an opportunity for us to align the incentives with activities that have a broader impact on society.

High-performing coaches and athletes are celebrated and receive a lot of funding. At the same time, high-performing educators and students are not celebrated at the same level and probably have to make it work on a more modest budget.

I agree that this says a lot about our priorities as as a country.

Do you think there are still strong societal expectations around one parent prioritizing work over family and the other parent prioritizing family over work?

And I disagree with parents forcing interests on their children. Instead, parents should be aware of what their children naturally gravitate towards and nurture their childrens’ interests in a healthy way.
