The queue consists of two lines: the first one is the service line, and the second one is just for clustering. When there is a free spot in the first line, someone from the second line moves into it.

I’ve implemented a goods-selling mechanic.

Customers look for the shelf with the fewest people. There, they pick up a random number of items and then go to the checkout to wait in line.

Added shelves — you can place items for sale on them, and space is limited. At any moment, an item can be taken from a shelf or accidentally knocked off — in that case, the space is freed up and another item can be placed.

Added trash bins where you can throw away garbage and receive a small reward. Each bin has its own capacity; once it’s full, it spawns a trash bag that must be carried to a dumpster, as it has no value.

Made an item bar, item UI selection, item dropping, and item spawning.

Along the way, I found out that custom tooltips (_make_custom_tooltip) are not properly removed by Godot, so you have to handle their cleanup manually.
