The overall intent at the end is left the same though, where she thanks Jack for giving Ryu a confidence boost.

Idk, I kinda like how Jody’s more direct with Jack and saying “yeah no dude, I know you lied to get Rick out of trouble”. Meanwhile in the sub, she kinda just sorta hints that she knows Jack was spouting BS

and then the payoff later being a bit more earned when Jody confronts him in the hospital where Jody says it’s just a fuse for a headlight. In the sub she sorts subtly says that it looks suspiciously like something from his own car.

Side note: I think the sub and dub have their strengths and weaknesses. I think the sub has better wording for how the other members of the squad think Jack was being a douche, but I think the dub explains things a bit better, like how that device supposedly drains Ryu’s power

But no, the only thing that got censored in this scene was Jody slapping Ryu. The editing was just being weird.

About that, he’s a reference to a tokusatsu and anime character called Gekko Kamen, aka the Moonlight Mask

And in English he’s voiced by Dave Wittenberg who was Kakashi in Naruto
