It's a framing that ignores the harm is he doing and people argue against that frame instead of the harm.

"Love for their country" is such a dog whistle. They don't actually mean the country as it's ever existed, but a patriarchal white supremacist vision of what they think the country should be.

A normal person might mean "the people who live here" but they certainly don't mean that!

Israel is engaged in genocide, it is a genocide materially assisted by the US, and AIPAC is the biggest lobby pushing for that material assistance to continue.

AND.

We need to proactively address anyone trying to exploit these realities and justified anger to advance or engage antisemitism.
