Look, hear me out. Maybe instead of extra innings, they do something similar to a PK shoot out, but they have to hit home runs. Pitcher is the role of the keeper (sorta), and hitter is the role of the shooter. Best 2 out of 3 HRs determines the winner. Way faster than 14 innings.
