However, the stats aren't just flavor, there are also sometimes-optional sections that play like Turn-Based Dungeon-Puzzler RPGs—ex: Golden Sun. You won't gain XP in these zones, and there are level caps that get released as the game progresses—so you can't grind your way past the game either.
