Personally, I think Mamdani's success comes from absolute mastery of one simple skill : the ability to answer a direct question. That's why he understood the issues to begin with, that's why he's able to communicate about them effectively, and that's why he's able to stay focused.

This is not how preventative interventions work.
No individual knows that their death was prevented by vaccine. Many people get COVID and dp not die. Was this due to vaccine?
Modeling and statistical estimates are the ways to estimate the impacts.

Also interesting how much more positive Democrats are about... places in America. Even down there at the very bottom of their list, Democrats are mostly just kind of, "Meh."

Most Jews of my great grandfather's day though that Theodor Herzl was a self aggrandizing putz and that Zionism was crazy. They chose the United States over Isreal by more than 10 to 1.
