sunset at the pond
a pair of fastigiate trees and a few others silhouetted against a dim sunset sky, peach-toned brush-strokes of clouds against a gradient which moves from deep indigo to pale blue across most of the frame and then sharply to a greenish yellow closer to the horizon. a few dark puffy clouds sit just behind the tree line on the left. maple leaves and branches - only visible as silhouette - block most of a profoundly colorful sunset sky: streaks of blue and indigo and peach, the latter burning to a strong, fiery orange. a hint of yellow green toward the horizon. a wide scene, mostly sky and its reflection in a still pond. a line of trees forms the horizon, also reflected. rotated on its side it is a rorschach test of some kind, pleasingly symmetrical. the sky and its reflection are a gradient that moves from pale yellow with green surrounding it near the horizon to a sky blue to a deeper purply blue. peach toned clouds streak diagonally from top left to middle right, and, in reflection, from bottom left.

Rows of wild meadow plants and shrubs and interspersed spruce trees of varying age, with heavy fog obscuring all but those closest. Spruce trees dot the landscape, disappearing into fog. Bright red and orange shrubs cover the ground. A path follows the shore of a dim lake between patches of autumn groundcover. A thick mist hangs through the scene. Spruce trees loom in the fog beyond a short stretch of autumnal groundcover, yellow and orange tones.

i have two, both cartoon tie-ins that my brain tries every year to memory-hole but which nevertheless stick around and emerge at odd moments
The Animaniacs mid-dance in an SNES sprite game. A large window fills the background, showing a pixelscape of WB Studios. A conspicuous flower pot on a wooden stand has a big "TAKE" bubble above it. Jerry the mouse from Tom and Jerry in an SNES sprite game. He's standing on a thin conveyer belt (ostensibly a film reel) against a dark blue industrial backdrop (the inside of a large film projector). There are floating cheese balls to collect.

here's sophie, my parents' husky/golden retriever mutt
A goofy snoot looking right at the camera. She has big brown-rimmed eyes, a labrador-shaped head with a symmetrical black color patch running down the center of a mostly golden face, and big furry ears that are sorta tucked back. The background was removed with iOS's background removal.

every picture of my cat is the absolute best picture ever taken of her because she's a literal perfect angel. i took this one this morning on a dang whim
Cat, a somewhat older tabby, looking at you from the nest she made out of my duvet. She has curious, bright eyes - so big for her face that it's slightly surreal, that it isn't entirely fair to the other cats in the world. She's illuminated by soft morning daylight leaking into the darkened room. Her expression is classic and her head is held upright, like she's aware that she's posing for a portrait. Her nose is rosy pink and her eyes are somehow a goldish pale green. I love her very much.
