Had a somewhat lagging but strong two weeks. Hit this 110kg/242.5lbs clean and jerk PR. Also did 148kg/326.3lbs front squat double. Also did 160kg/352.7 back squat for 5 and then a week later 165kg/363.8lbs for a triple. My back is so fucking sore today.

At 20 years old, Karlos now owns all the Jr and Sr world records in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total for the men’s 89kg division ahead of the new weight class change for 2025.

148kg/326.3lbs for a speed test for 2 reps. I tried to go for a set of 4 and missed the 2nd rep.

My hamstrings were cooked by then. Still this is the Heaviest front squat since the early fall when I did 143kg/315.3kbs.

A ways away from my best of 159kg/350.5lbs but we’ll get there.

World Championships in Bahrain start at the end of the week. Surprisingly not as underwhelming as I expected given the Olympics wrapped up. One major thing to look out for is Karlos Nasar. He’s moving up from 89kg to 96kg. The Olympic champ did 185/230 in Germany last week.
