I'm literally contemplating doing a PhD in Mathematics eventually (assuming anything remains of Higher Ed in the USA)

I told my Behavioral Therapist that My Dad thinks that because I can understand the mathematics of General Relativity, QFT, etc. that I should have no problem with lower-order tasks, which is not how ability works.

after reading @kpolanyisociety.bsky.social , My Social Darwinist Dad is all about Winners And Losers, to the point that My Mom said that he believes Your Job Is Your Primary Identity, and he thinks I'm a Loser who should Be More Grateful, etc.
