DDHQ is a pro outfit. They got it wrong, they said so publicly, and they retracted it. How could them making an incorrect projection possibly be construed as "shenanigans" with the actual election anyways? It doesn't change the official result or the counting process.

Bit early to say that- so far it appears only detainees were hit. The shooter was also a white male sniper and this is Texas. It could well be a far-right radical that thought deportation isn't enough and decided to take action into his own hands.

Because it NEEDS to be an enemy's fault to justify the crackdown on the enemy. They were already looking at declaring trans people mentally disturbed to take all their guns.

A good social media campaign is not leadership. Throwing trans people under the bus to cozy up with the far-right on his podcast is not leadership. I'd vote for him if it was him or MAGA, but Newsom is the exact same kind of candidate that got us into this mess in the first place.

I will absolutely never support Newsom in the primary, but I will absolutely vote for him in the general if I must.

I think we should all be upset and scared, but we should be pissed too and that should make us brave enough to do the work we need to despite being upset and scared.

I guarantee you she already did all those things before she announced her candidacy. Even with strong saving and lots of buy-in from friends and family, she'd still have less than 50k. A Congressional campaign, even in a safe district, usually costs around $1 million.

Celebrate a small win in that a federal judge saw the obvious: a sitting judge isn't a flight risk or danger to the community and released her on her own recognizance rather than set or deny bail, but pretending this is over gives the admin room to do what they want once people look away.

I'm sorry, but 1) I didn't know you'd been told that many times- mine is the only comment confirming the charges weren't dropped here, and 2) it's an important note to make given how our legal system works.
