@ryansonofrobert.bsky.social
Angry, Scottish and proud. 32 year old father of 3.

Naw, I'm not subbing to your OF, don't bother.
The kind that instigates pile ons on people who agree with the core message but not the fringe lunatics who have taken over a party I used to idolise.

The kind that's created a pervasive us vs them system of politics instead of looking for consensus.

We won't get far with this.

Ive known thousands of crabbing arseholes like you in my life roy.

Can't handle anyone having a slightly different opinion to you.
March 17, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Ive been accused in this thread of being non constructive, of being a troll, of being a unionist, of being a child and many others.

Simply for disagreeing.

Ive supported my country and all of you since I was 16, now I'm shouted down because my opinion doest toe the party line.

How inclusive.
March 17, 2025 at 7:39 PM
And I support yes, as I always will.

Put a vote in front of me and I'll only vote one way, but I won't fly the flag for the thieves and scoundrels in the snp any longer.

That much is for sure.
March 17, 2025 at 7:38 PM
I'm nowhere near smart enough to answer that question in 300 characters or less.

Nor is anyone on here.
March 17, 2025 at 7:36 PM
If having principles i don't deviate from makes me an idiot, then I guess I am.

I don't vote for people who have no clue how to deliver on the promises they've made.

The snp have spent the last 10 years taking us all for granted and stealing from their own supporters. You want to vote for that?
March 17, 2025 at 7:33 PM
And you're signed up to identity politics us vs them bs.

Bye.
March 17, 2025 at 6:55 PM
They took no for an answer. Sometimes you have to stop asking politely and take what's yours.

No, I won't vote for people who put identity politics at the heart of their agenda. I'd rather not vote at all. If everyone did the same, and actually came together as a force, things would change quickly
March 17, 2025 at 6:07 PM
Poll after poll showed support for indy but the snp did nothing to capitalise preferring to focus on divisive identity politics.

They lost me at that point. I will never vote for a London centred party or the extremists in alba.

Until a moderate pro indy force is formed, I'm politically homeless
March 17, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Still the tories, red and blue. Glad we live in Scotland where health is devolved and our snp aren't following the same track.

Oh wait...
March 17, 2025 at 7:27 AM
The tories caused the damage on this one. The journey to private healthcare started under David Cameron.

Just like independence, it's another battle that we lost. We have to stop blaming the winners of these debates and look within for real answers.

Even if you didn't vote Labour, it's coming.
March 15, 2025 at 10:35 PM
No, you just dont get it, It's only free speech if they say it is.

For the avoidance of doubt, this is what British humour looks like.
March 15, 2025 at 12:41 PM
We need a revolution of the working system that makes work worthwhile, not more minimum wage jobs that make the choice between sitting on your arse and working it off a no brainer.

I work 40 hours a week and travel 15 to work a job lower than the UK average.

It's hard out there at the bottom.
March 13, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Those are countries who have been traditionally seen as lazy and who have had growth rates far lower than ours.

We have both an employment problem (among British nationals) and a greed problem (among foreign billionaires)

Both can be true.
March 13, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Tbf the people complaining, aside from the unions, are mostly the ones who benefitted from privatisation.

This will benefit the staff in the long term and the patients in the short term.
March 13, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Thankfully, they've never been approved here in the UK. We don't have to suffer the eyesore
March 12, 2025 at 1:42 PM
My mum certainly feels that way about myself and my brother, I hope I get to have the same satisfaction once my kids are grown up.
March 11, 2025 at 6:58 PM
Trust me dude, if you spend time in public like I do, men Are the majority of the issue but not the whole problem.

Raise your kids right regardless of their gender. Don't think your daughters are able to raise themselves, they will surprise you just how much hell they can raise.
March 11, 2025 at 6:57 PM
Just be careful with getting into bed with the extremists.

All for making the world fairer and more equal, but there is a section of every movement who do it out of hate, they are as bad as the systems they seek to destroy.
March 11, 2025 at 6:51 PM
It's for Ukrainians to decide what's best for their country, no one else.

I've said that from the first days of the war.

They'll have my support no matter what they decide to do. Zelensky isn't a monolith, his entire presidential team would have been involved in this decision.
March 11, 2025 at 6:46 PM
A lot more than that should be done.

We are all being told to tighten our belts, it's time they did the same.

Especially since we are the ones paying the bills.
March 11, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Because there are so many middle earners entering politics.

The majority of those abusing the system have second jobs, have come from priveledged backgrounds and/or have had extremely successful careers before entering politics.
