Is there are website where you can bet on which bands are going to get back together?

How about which are going to break-up?

Or be the next to issue a press release about a toxic band member?

Can gambling save music journalism?

Can I not be plagued with dystopian ideas, please?

This is really for my daughter who came home grumbling about changes in her work and ballet rehearsal schedules. Welcome to the grind kiddo!

The past 10 years (maybe more) have felt like one long Festivus. We've been stuck in the airing of grievances and will remain here until someone can complete the feats of strength and pin the head of the house.

Yesterday we lost Sally Kirkland and today Neil Young turns 80.

This seems like as good a time as any to go watch the wonderfully bizarre Human Highway (1982)

RIP - Sally Kirkland

The Human Condition trilogy is one of the most emotionally brutal films I've ever endured. A large part of that is the impossible levels of endurance Tatsuya Nakadai expressed throughout the film. RIP

It’s so rare in life you get to witness instant karma, but watching as an aggressive driver slam into the cart corral in the grocery store parking lot made me laugh out loud and boy did that piss him off even further.

Best “fuck you” I have earned in a long while.

Hearing the United States of America for the first time was a music revolution.

Their album re-wired my brain and opened me to lots of other music that my young jaded ears had been tuning out.
R.I.P. Joseph Hunter Byrd Jr., born in #Louisville on December 19, 1937.

"In New York, we were all subsumed into a protean energy - less a school of composition than an attitude: we were redefining art itself."

Later Byrd formed The United States of America, one of the most psychedelic bands ever.
