Boxing themselves in by ruling out the 3 major revenue raisers was and is an error. They’ll be unpopular with the upcoming nit pick of tax rises than coming back on their manifesto promise.

Ah ok that’s where I differ, although at least until 2. leads to more growth. Labour should just reverse the two NI cuts. Will give 10bn a year? Agree re growth role of the dice their tone not helping that though.

We need to incentivise builders to build the necessary infrastructure, the current system is surely the wrong way around hence they game the system to avoid it. (Whether incentives can be done I’m not sure but surely is better than current)

They’ve over done the gloom and they’ve not said they’re gunna spend more, the main story so far has been the cut not the spend.

Like this bit, hadn’t really though that investment trades off consumption in short term (prob why we haven’t built cos short termism takes over)

Hypocrisy matters though, voters hate it. Starmer has show plenty of it so far and it’s only 3 months in.
