Stoked to check out this band, Surfing for Daisy, tomorrow night at the Stone Pony. Some local dudes playing some good ol', genuine, heartfelt, sing it to the rafters rock.

Hard to think of anything besides the big man today but good to know he’s out of surgery and relaxing. Can’t wait to see him tomorrow.

Happy birthday Neil Young. One of my favorite concert memories is seeing Neil & Crazy Horse at HORDE in 97 at Great Woods. We young bucks were pumped to see the Godfather of Grunge. As he started, 2 old heads turned to my late friend Dave & me and yelled, "NEIL FUCKING YOUNG MAN!" It was incredible.

I like that despite everything going on right now, we live in a world where there's a new De La Soul album coming out soon.

The ONLY good thing to come out of this news of Trump pardoning Rudy and the rest of the 2020 goons is that it's a fun reminder that this actually happened...

OTD in 1993, ‘Remember Two Things,’ the first album from Dave Matthews Band was released.
Or as it’s also known: The Album We All Bought After Getting Into the Band When ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’ Came Out.

Happy the mighty Soundgarden got their due at last night’s #RockHall ceremony. Back in the day when grunge was exploding, Soundgarden was for the serious heads, the ones looking for something more, something heavier, something dangerous. Music that sounded like a wrecking ball. Such an amazing band.

I appreciate the polite stomp that makes its way into this Eggy jam around the 20 min mark. It’s delightful.

I've only watched one episode of 'Death by Lightning' so far, but Matthew Macfadyen watching and reacting to fireworks might be the best thing I've seen on television this year.

So many of the dads in shows my youngest daughter watches look like dudes who would be telling me how great Goose is.

Seeing posts/reviews about the 'Death by Lightning' miniseries has me now hoping other books I've read & wished would be adapted might finally happen. I'm looking at you, 'The Devil in the White City.'

OTD in 1992, the debut album from Rage Against the Machine was released, an album where there was life before it was released & life after. The force & power of their music was unheard of. Just absolute monsters. Would love a Rage tour now, giving the No Kings movement a proper soundtrack.

Sometimes I wonder how different life would be if the first time a kid asked their parents to cut the crust off of bread, the parents had simply refused.

While there’s plenty to be happy about today, let us also be sure to celebrate the late Charles Bradley, who was born on this day in 1948.
