TGI Game Night made its return last night after a long hiatus, and of course we played some Smite. Smite 2 specifically, which feels like a remake of the original. Blast from the past! Thanks to all the patrons that joined us in game and in Discord.

While we're still waiting for additional details, the Nintendo Switch 2 launch looks strong. Available on June 5th with Mario Kart World available day one. Select Nintendo Switch games will have paid upgrades, GameCube support in Nintendo Switch Online. Plus a new Donkey Kong game in July!

Yes! The power ups are very cool, and varied. I finished the game last night and can certainly see why it got GOTY. I found a few power ups I hadn’t seen in the main game when I did the holiday level. My favourite was a mouse related power up. :)

Finished up Avowed, and was looking for a small title to fit in, so decided to finally start up Astro Bot. Game really clicked in the second area, some really creative power ups and mechanics. Definitely the closest experience to a Nintendo game on a non-Nintendo platform.

Started Avowed, and being a magic wielder has been a lot of fun! Grimoire and wand combo for access to advanced spells early on. Helps the game feel different from other RPG adventure games I’ve been playing lately. Oh, and Kai. Great first addition to the party!

Using the elements in combat and completing the epic encounters was a lot of fun. The encounters scale in complexity as the game progresses, making for some epic moments. (Video is one of the first epic encounters)

No surprise that Fallout 4 took the most played spot, thanks to Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show. Also, some Outer Wilds for TGI Game Club, which I very much enjoyed. Need to complete that DLC though!
