Seeing the Lord of the Rings films over this weekend in theaters for the first time was a wonderful experience.

I love those films dearly.

Frankenstein was absolutely brilliant. There is nothing like seeing a director fully realize a singular vision, and @realgdt.bsky.social delivered in a way that only he could.

He was born to make this film.

The Rehearsal is unhinged in the best possible way.

If you are aching for new music, please give the new Steven Wilson album The Overview a spin. What a lovely record.

I wonder what’s going on at Augusta. Isn’t there anyone that can tell me?

That Severance finale. My goodness.

A little late to the game, but I am really enjoying the new Coheed and Cambria album.

I love Claudio as much as the next person, but the rhythm section is such a standout and gives tremendous bounce.

I’ve been a fan of MotoGP for years, and it was great for the coverage to be available on Max last year in the US. They shifted over to Fox this year which is a big disappointment.

Any idea where Fox Sports coverage is carried without live TV subscriptions?

Severance doesn’t need to go so hard, but good gracious they are doing amazing work.

The latest episode was the directorial debut for Jessica Lee Gagne who is DP here and on Escape at Dannemora.

Independent of being a fan of the show, it was a beautifully realized vision. What a talent.

Paradise was already shaping up to be a great show, but this latest episode was top tier television. James Marsden and Sterling K. Brown turned in incredible performances.

Needing to disconnect from everything, I’ve been enjoying the Summoning Salt videos chronicling the history of video game speed runs.

Seeing people push so hard on the now retro games I grew up with has been a nice diversion when needed.

Rather enjoying Paradise. Sterling K. Brown has never turned in a bad performance and he has been excellent.

Captain America Brave New World was perfectly ok.

The action sequences were cool, though too much was probably included in the promotional materials. The rest of the scenes felt a bit small screen at times.

Not much of lasting consequence - things done and undone by the end of the film.

The Luka trade makes no sense, but as a Spurs fan I like the implications for future Mavs picks that San Antonio will get.

My family is fortunate to be ok amidst all of this chaos, but my heart hurts for those being harmed and those who are afraid.
