I feel like each day I’m bouncing back and forth between thinking this is all Dunning-Kruger effect on full display or that it’s all meticulously, and intelligently, orchestrated. Then I remind myself that this thought is not an “or” statement but rather an “and” statement.

Why aren't more researchers publishing in society journals?
Two potential reasons:
1) They're often unfamiliar to early-career researchers,
and 2) they need better promotion, a task for all of us.
