This evenings viewing. Quite possibly the most bizarre spy series ever made yet it’s very watchable. Everyone is so bizarrely over the top acting wise it feels as though each scene was done by a different director.

Tomorrow, I Will Wake Up And Scald Myself With Tea.

The two BFI screenings they did sold really well and I can provide my own print to show.

I rarely get any bargains from charity shops these days but my luck definitely changed today when I got these for a lot less than you might think:

Watched a “classic” film last night. Fully recommend this a watch!

Post has arrived, imported from Germany. A fine slice of US Sci-Fi from the 90s.

Off to the @princecharlescinema.com to see the only David Lynch film I haven’t seen before: The Straight Story. Been looking forward to seeing this for a long while!

This evenings viewing. Actually a very interesting viewing, made me appreciate John Peel’s position in writing those Dalek novels.

Heading to the @princecharlescinema.com this afternoon to see Wild At Heart, one of a couple of David Lynch’s films I’ve never seen so I’m looking forward to seeing this for the first time.

Been putting off this book for a while but I decided to dive in now. So far it feels as if John Peel is trying to emulate Terrance Dicks’ style but it just doesn’t work out. Doesn’t help that the supporting characters are mostly unlikeable and the Masters’ pseudonym is called out so early on.

Heading over to the BFI for my first cinema trip this year, seeing the Man Who Fell To Earth.

I decided as a spur of the moment thing to give Star Trek: Voyager a rewatch. I never completely understood the hate for this show, always had a soft spot for it. It’s not perfect by any means but for the most part it’s fine, with some major plot holes.

Each year, I’ve developed a habit to watch the all time classic ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ at my hometown cinema in the wilds of Yorkshire. Couldn’t think of a better way to watch it.

Been going through a first time watch of Box of Delights this week. I can definitely see why many people put this on their Christmas watch lists. Very charming show and unlike it. Though I sometimes wish the soundtrack was a bit more consistent in theme.

Finished reading the Face of the Enemy, a love letter to the Pertwee era without actually having the Doctor in. I think the book would be much shorter if all the unnecessary references were cut out and there’s a lot of them. Still a blast to read.

Going for a double bill at the @princecharlescinema.com this afternoon, watching Citizen Kane and the Goonies on 35mm!

Had a great time at @dwasonline.bsky.social’s Riverside event. They could do with an evening with Derek Martin type of event as he was full of great anecdotes and jokes, excellent guests.

Started reading the Face of the Enemy, pretty good so far, has a bit of a Sweeney vibe early on.

A little present for my birthday.

Then you find out someone has uploaded a 35mm scan online.
