Revise “of-“ phrases to possessives. Don’t wax on about uncontroversial rules. Dump losing (e.g., third- or fourth-best) arguments. Use footnotes to move reference information and secondary points out of the main text. See Elegant Legal Writing (https://bit.ly/elw-book) for many more tips.
