Only the networks can sell ads on dumb tvs.

I like to think that in a few years there will be an opportunity for a company to make good money selling tvs with just a tuner, but I am afraid the public will just have been trained to accept the enshitificaton.

If the TV industry cares about public media, they’re in a prime position to put their money where their mouth is. Support CPB financially, subsidize content for public media, promote and distribute existing public media content on your streaming platforms.

I’m also pissed at Apple for wedding their AI summary into Safari’s “Reader View”. Like I went into reader mode to READ a fucking article.
