I can’t bring about big changes all by my little self. But I can:

- Choose which business to withhold my patronage from.
- Support policies that aim to bring about positive change.
- Volunteer my time to organizations that advocate for inclusivity.
- Engage in the so-called sin of empathy.

Remaining on Facebook is akin to staying in an abusive and exploitative relationship because your partner has a nice house and makes life more convenient for you. Time to break up and move on.

I won’t stop trying to encourage compassion and cooperation in our species with what little resources I have to do so. But, at this point, if I looked to the sky tomorrow to see an asteroid coming that would doom humanity I wouldn’t complain.

Would be a good time for folks to start making their voices heard at the local level. I was the only member of the public present at my city’s commission meeting. Hoping to see that start to change.
