Just a son of a gun.

I have a slightly tragic habit of checking IMDb during old movies just to confirm if I’m still younger than the actors.

Into books, dudes, and overthinking.
“The Moon Is Down” by Steinbeck just keeps getting more relevant and instructive.

Some photographs haunt me each time I see them. This one, taken by Marcelin Flandrin in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains in 1925, is the last record of a wild Barbary lion. Images like this make me sympathetic to antinatalism toward the human race, reminders of what our presence has cost the living world.

Boromir as Knight of Cups makes more sense than a random Gondorian.

Uhhh, Treebeard and his Ent-draughts deserve The King of Cups spot.

Missed opportunity to not have Thorin Oakenshield and Gimli as the King of Coins; mining, gold, dwarves, need I say more.

Legolas as The Knight of Wands is the logical choice, but alas, Faramir and his bow snuck in—though he may have been better suited as The Page of Wands if he must be here.

I like how they incorporated the Mother, Maiden, and Crone in The Empress card. The Lovers should have been Legolas and Gimli.

Stumbled upon a vintage Lord of the Rings Tarot Deck—absolutely splendid. It’s always cool seeing artwork depicting the story and characters that predates the films.

Arendt warned: Lies destroy shared reality; the bedrock of democracy. Trump’s ‘fake news’, partisan loyalty over facts, and social media’s echo chambers fracture it. Hyperbolic, but his deliberate distortion and erasure of truth risks ‘historical genocide,’ obliterating parts of our collective past.
