📚A very dreamy canvas to finish while at Princeton! I had a lot of fun playing with decorative stitches on this one.

The 3 weeks flew by (entirely too much fun!) so I’m glad I made time to explore campus with my picnic blanket to find some calm spots to sit, stitch, and reflect on this opportunity.

It was such a delight to get to know @raziasahi.bsky.social & her research at Princeton! I can’t wait to follow along with her lab’s impactful work at Rutgers focused on interpersonal/social emotional regulation.

👀Best part? She’s accepting applications for PhD students for Fall 2026! Share widely!

HOT TO GO! was the highlight of the dance floor (of course!) 💖

I am obsessed with this picture with @katiealegria.bsky.social!

P.S. Can you spot @jacasiegel.bsky.social & @roxannefelig.bsky.social on the dance floor??

I also love these photos from the night before where we brought our friends on a sunset electric paddle boat ride around Lady Bird Lake (ft. bats and surprise fireworks to close out the night!)

My dad died in May of 2020 and I knew this would be one of many difficult moments of missing him. I’m so grateful for the ways we incorporated Austin music & Townes Van Zandt specifically as part of our ceremony. It all felt so right.

It was a whimsical garden wedding that felt so true to us as a couple & our love of nature!

Extra special to have these books from my childhood that always made me want to frolic in a garden — one was a given to me when I was 4 y/o with a handwritten note inside that was incredible to rediscover 💕

On May 25, 2025, I married my best friend in a lush garden in Austin. From Houston to San Francisco to Lubbock, we’ve created and recreated our lives together — I feel so grateful we get to keep moving forward together 💕

We’re part of the problem (too many podcasts) but also trying to be part of the solution (accessible, fewer episodes + focus on high-quality stress science)!

Last month, my partner & I got married & our first dance was from our favorite moment in Schitt’s Creek when Patrick (Noah Reid) serenaded David (Dan Levy) with an acoustic version of Tina Turner's Simply the Best. It was absolutely perfect 💌

Treating depression or anxiety improves one's emotional health, but do improvements in emotional health translate to improved physical health?

Dr. Steptoe discussed this important (but challenging) question on the Stress Puzzle.

There’s a consistent molecular immune signature activated in patients w/ depression (vs controls) but only translates to CRP in a subset of pts. @carminepariante.bsky.social discussed why some folks have this molecular signature that translates to high CRP while others stay under control. #PNIRS2025

Anhedonia appears to be the symptom most responsive to anti-inflammatory treatment among depressed patients with high inflammation (CRP > 5 mg/L). Dr. Andy Miller emphasized that this finding has been reproduced and that there is a strong signal emerging for this specific effect. #PNIRS2025
June 10, 2025 at 8:17 AM
What are the mechanisms underlying this inflammatory subtype of depression? Part of the story is how cytokines are affecting dopamine metabolism. #PNIRS2025
June 10, 2025 at 8:03 AM
Inflammation is only increased in ~30% of depressed patients!

BUT inflammatory markers map onto unique inflammatory subtype symptoms (i.e., neurovegetative, anhedonia). #PNIRS2025
