I should say that I've done some work in AI (and am developing a talk on bias in the creation and perception of AI-generated faces), but my work is squarely in core social & developmental processes.

I agree with Deon that this would seem to disincentivize team science work/papers. Or at least has the potential to prompt bad gender/racial jockeying for author position on papers.

I feel like t&p statements could just specify effort from a high-level perspective.

We suggest that what parents say about race should be sensitive to how children interpret different features of language such as use of abstract language, generics, and modals, as well as the cognitive biases they have.
