It has always been a flow chart of "does the state empower individual rights?" If no, "states' rights!" If yes, "federal intervention!"

The only one that doesn't exactly match that is "gun rights" but that is because they envision white men using guns to harass minorities and women.

I doubt it.

Overall, I feel like Washington is one of the better states but I hate the top-two primary system. It is especially terrible for a district like mine that is a near 50/50 split of Dem/Repub. Repubilcans rally together while the Dem party pushes Republican-lite.

Of course Perez is on the list. At this point, I'm thinking my district might as well have elected that MAGA troll Joe Kent... 🤬

"It isn't the question. It is the attitude... even if you asked the question nicely, it is an insubordination question."

Just hearing anything from that a$$h@t's mouth is psychological warfare.

Which is why you need your bishop's approval for a vasectomy.

righteous people of color retaining their colored skin or similar direct contradictions to the racist teachings.

They still teach that Israel is a favored race due to premortal choices. Which means they still teach blessings in this life are based on race and premortal actions.

I'm just explaining how the history of the LDS Church makes it easy for these white supremacists to excuae their beliefs.

And the fact is more recent prophets haven't counter them. They can quote prophets talking of white skin blue-eyed Jesus and dark skin curses. No such quotes exist of 1/2

To stop teaching something as doctrine and to teach that it was never doctrine are 2 separate things.

Especially in a religion that has a history of "sacred" higher law that is kept from the public. How do you know the race thing isn't still doctrine but they're not "casting pearls before swine?"

I agree its hurt men too, hence my stating that most "men's problems" are rooted in misogyny.

I also agree with moving passed capitalism being the ultimate solution.

In the same way I can recognize ending SNAP hurts people AND it subsidizes corporations, I recognize misogyn subsidizes capitalism.

Of course there are things that tend to be more of a problem for women than men and the other way around.

Aside from a few biological things (like menstration, etc.), though, I'd argue it is only complicated by how much misogyny is interwoven with our society.

I'll confirm that this is how I viewed it and haven't heard of a brick used in that way. My only real exposure to "Protect the Dolls" was Pedro Pascal's shirt.

It is good to see these sort of conversations in the open to add context, so I can do better and be more understanding.

Will there be money in Heaven?!

These people... 🙄

For one thing, a lot of "white collar crime" is done in the name of a corporation and, despite what the tools on SCOTUS may say, corps aren't people.

I'm an abolistionist that'd be happy if we actually had the kind of consequences for corps that led to closure and a seizure of assets.

Dallin argued that it didn't violate the first amendment when Joseph Smith used his government position to order a printing pres destroyed for printing truths Smith didn't want known.

I very much doubt Dallas 😉 isn't on the same page as Trump.
