St Margaret of Antioch, Bygrave 📍
A 12th Century stone, brick and flint church, with additions made in 14th and 18th.
Fragments of 14th Century wall paintings survive within as well as ancient carvings in the chancel windows.
There's archeological evidence of an early timber church in this location.

St Ippolytus Church, Hitchin 📍
Named after Hippolytus of Rome (!) this beautifully old church has no record of who built it, but it was funded by a niece of William the Conqueror in 1087!
Lots of restoration in 1878 and lots of new stone was carved for the interior
