I’ve always found the signage at Parliament station directing you to either end of the station concourse sooo weird because the entrances to the ‘Collins St’ side of the station are closer on the whole to Bourke st.

Playing Daybreak by @mattleacock.bsky.social in solo mode and I've just lost for the second time in a row. Who knew saving the world from climate change would be hard to do by yourself? 🌱

🏳️‍🌈 I also wanted some way of capturing the diversity (and lack thereof) of the artists who I'm seeing. So I made the below chart of shows made predominantly by marginalised artists.

ℹ️ It’s not perfect but it's a useful benchmark to consider how diversified my theatre-diet is and how to improve it

💸 In 2024 most of my shows were complimentary, owing to multiple artist passes, judging positions, and invitations. However the single most common way I got a ticket was still by buying one.

📊 Most of the theatre I see is presented in the Indie sector, and a significant portion of that is during a festival, mostly Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy festival

💃 Over half of the shows I saw were with my bestie Georgie Wolfe who’s always down to see a show.

☀️ When we break things out by day of the week and months, we can see how busy April & October were for my theatre viewing, and how comparatively quiet months like December are.

September was my quietest month because of a third COVID infection and the fact that I was deep in rehearsals for Fringe

📆 To no one's surprise the most frequent day of the week that I saw shows on were Saturdays, with 48 shows seen across the 52 Saturdays in 2024.

🚗 I saw heaps of theatre outside of the CBD, venturing as far as Darebin Arts Centre in the north, the Substation to the west, and Monash University in the east.

🏛️ In 2024 I visited 63 unique venues, but I saw the most at Trades Hall in Carlton for 25 different shows.

⏲️ However, the venue I spent the most *time* at was ACM, where I saw only 14 showS for a combined 27 hours. One of which went for 8 hours
