...and adding the gender-fluid aspect (and maybe some MPREG for the stinger at the end) give RTD a figleaf of dignity to claim that this is a SATIRE of supernatural romance, subverting tropes, while he's actually just leaning into the transgression for titilation.

I'm a cynic. Supernatural romance is big. RTD made a series about monsterfucking to act as a gateway drug to the DWU for a demographic with disposable income and a ravenous apetite for back-catalogue content.
As for the gender change -- some fish DO change gender. (Though not that quickly.)

I would describe that as a series of 50 rolls made at increasing levels of disadvantage, in DND terms.

There is precedent for too much time, travel occurring in a short period of time is isolated to a small area, making things harder and harder the more ‘traffic’ there is.
However I agree with you that the scenario you are describing is possible within the rules of the universe.

I believe that in theory to make this work… At a bare minimum, you would need to turn off the sensors on the tariff so that you would not be able to detect whether or not future versions of the tardis, which have not yet landed from a causality standpoint, Are in the next section of the base over.
