And now I have the stress of the incoming White House with their hard-on to repeal the ACA. It's already hard enough for us to get insurance. Better believe after an insurance company pays 1.5mil they'll raise your premiums unreasonably high to encourage you to leave. We've had to switch each year.

The fact that my son's care is tied to my job makes it overwhelmingly stressful. If the company isn't doing good, for me it's not just about the company and my livelihood, but directly comes down to whether my son will continue to get care.

My son had a spinal tumor in 2023. Insurance did pay the $1.5 million in claims in 2023-24, but I also paid almost $40K in that period on top of almost $30K/yr premiums - with insurance. This just doesn't work.

For me the key was to (1) use the discover feed instead of following and (2) start following people like crazy and then start trimming back to narrow the topics a bit (3) when I find someone I like, look at their following list to find others like them. I'd love to see more music/band people here
