It’s not every county, but the handful outliers have small populations, and the shifts in R’s favor are small enough that they might not hold
County results showing that 5 counties shifted slightly in Republicans favor. The largest percentage shift is 2.3% and the largest county vote total is 24,976. There are about 50,000 total votes across all 5 counties.

To get 100% of salary, a member of Congress would have to serve for 86 years

The formula is 1.7% of salary per year for the first 20 years, and 1% for each additional year

That’s not what his district looks like now

His old district would’ve been Republican under fairly drawn maps. It looked weird because they were diluting Democratic votes by adding heavily Democratic neighborhoods in downtown Houston to what’d naturally be a deep red seat
