I'm not a Smashing Pumpkins expert and only really listened to Siamese Dream properly out of all of their albums. But 'Today' is one of the greatest songs ever made. As you say: timeless

Yes, i know a few people who have been burned in the music business. It's a crazy world... you tell an interesting story though, and perhaps the experience has made you wiser

That's brilliant. I've never heard a lot of Kingmaker. I must give them a listen

I was at school and was loving the music scene then. Weekends were for hanging about record shops, and that's where I met most of my best pals. Music brought us together

Is that Minutemen album worth checking out?
November 9, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Aye, another great tune, pal 👌

I only found out yesterday they played Glasgow a couple of days ago 🤦‍♂️. I must have forgotten that they announced a tour....

One of their best. Bono said this was their attempt at making Manchester baggy meet Sly Stone 👏🔥

Brilliant, man...
I saw Kenny Dope play a hip-hop set at 6am in Barcelona once. It was amazing.

That will be awesome. Saw both of them separately but never together, so you are in for a treat, ma pal. Let me know how it goes

crazy days indeed! Lol. There are actually people i met a clubs and parties who i thought were other people etc lol. There was a guy in Glasgow who used to call himself Hans from Belgium. He had the accent down to a tee. It wasn't till months later that we found he was actually Kevin from Paisley 😂

Yes, really name Curtis Jones. Cajmere was usually his dj name, whereas Green Velvet was for live shows and his main producer guise
November 8, 2025 at 5:53 PM
Green Velvet aka Cajmere created and owned Cajual Records and Relief Records, bro

Turn it up!! Green Velvet is worth discovering bro. A techno and house legend. He created a record label out of Chicago called Relief Records in the 90s. Arguably the most important house label. If you had no Relief you wouldn't have had the commercial acts like Daft Punk, LCD etc

Yes, you mentioned that great night. He's a legend. A brilliant performer, dj and producer, but also gave us the amazing and groundbreaking Relief Records. Arguably the most important label to come out of Chicago

Yes, it was brilliant for a gig. My highlight gig at The Arches was MFDoom. He was my hero at the time and he rocked the place. Crowd was on 🔥 making it a special Glesga night. Also loved the Triptych weekender event which had events at the Arches. *wish I was at Jocelyn and Jazzy Jeff, bro

Was too young to go to Cool Lemon but I had one of the flyers on my wall.. that must have been amazing man.
I'm glad I got to The Arches when I was 16 (1999).. was a regular at Pressure and Relief. Had some of the best chats in my life in the corridors and toilets lol. It was a madhoose 😜😂
