With that crest up, they sure do. But they can be a bit more subdued when those feathers are pulled down.

Yes, they are in the same family (Regulidae). In the US, we have two species: ruby-crowned kinglet and golden-crowned kinglet. But I kind of wish we called them firecrests here too!

I’d say they’re about 3-4 feet tall. But their wingspan is even bigger!
