Retro support is also constantly being innovated on since I started. To my knowledge Retrotink and OSSC are other alternatives but haven’t kept up with where they are at. Depends how nice you want it to look.

Retro streaming can get expensive depending in how deep you want to go. I started with getting a framemeister (about $400) that is an upscaler. Most retro consoles also support better output like Component, RGB, or Scart depending on the console. This is a good resource www.retrorgb.com/systems.html
